Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing - EMDR

Traumatic experiences can leave a lasting impact on ones life. These experiences can affect everything from relationships and self-esteem to the ability to handle stress and anxiety. EMDR therapy is a powerful tool that can help process these experiences in a safe and supportive environment. During EMDR therapy sessions, clients are guided to recall traumatic memories while engaging in bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or other rhythmic stimulation. This process can help to reduce the intensity of negative emotions and decrease the frequency and severity of distressing symptoms associated with the traumatic memory. Using EMDR therapy we can reprocess these experiences in a more adaptive way, gaining insight and emotional healing.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)

The administration of ketamine may be most effective when paired with psychotherapy. My KAP program offers a treatment plan that will prepare you for your ketamine sessions, encourage you to explore your inner system while within the ketamine space, and assist you in integrating your experiences afterwards. Trust and safety with your KAP provider is essential to this healing work and growth; our work together before and after your medicine sessions help foster this connection. I believe all healing is relational and I bring this into every step of the KAP treatment process. Integration is key! Your experience will be unique to you, and each of your sessions will be different. They evolve from your own being in relation to this medicine, and it is best to relax into the path that unfolds. Many enjoy the journey, while others do not. There is always something to learn about yourself, your experience, your wounds, and your healing. My work with you is to integrate this information into daily life.

Individual Services

Individual counseling is a process that involves meeting one on one to help you work through feelings, gain new perspectives and set attainable goals in a confidential environment. The therapist and the client explore emotions, discuss beliefs, work through challenges, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, and better understand both themselves and the people around them.

Young Adult

Being a young adult can be a challenging and stressful time in life. You're navigating the transition into adulthood, trying to find your place in the world, and facing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. In therapy, we provide a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop coping skills, and work towards achieving your goals. Our goal is to help you gain insight into your behaviors and thought patterns, so you can make positive changes and live a more fulfilling life. We understand that everyone's journey is different, so we tailor our approach to fit your unique needs and goals. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or just trying to figure out who you are and what you want out of life, we're here to support you every step of the way.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy is a form of counseling that can help you and your partner navigate the challenges in your relationship. Whether you're dealing with communication problems, conflicts over finances or parenting styles, or intimacy issues, couples therapy can be a valuable tool for building a stronger, more fulfilling relationship.

For couples in monogamous relationships, couples therapy can help you improve communication, deepen your emotional bonds, and find ways to resolve conflicts in a healthy and constructive manner. This can involve a range of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and systemic therapy, to address the specific challenges that you and your partner are facing.

Couples therapy can also be valuable for couples who are in consensual non-monogamous relationships. Non-monogamous relationships can take many forms, including polyamory, swinging, and open relationships. While these relationships can offer many benefits, they can also present unique challenges, such as jealousy, communication difficulties, and boundary issues. Couples therapy can help you and your partner navigate these challenges, build trust and communication, and develop clear boundaries that respect the needs and desires of everyone involved. It can also help you explore your own feelings and desires, and work to build a shared understanding of what your relationship means to you.

Additional Information

For therapy services I generally meet with clients for 50 minutes on a weekly or biweekly basis, depending on your needs.

Minors are seen on a case-by-case basis.

If you discover that this is not the right fit for you, you will be given referrals to other providers who may be more appropriate for you. I maintain relationships with many psychotherapists, and psychologists for collaboration, consultation, and referral. Finding the right fit is important when looking for a therapist.
